Battle for Garki: your squad advancing past shelled concrete blocks with tanks beside them

About the game

Four warlords have carved up the Federal Capital Territory. You start with ten riflemen and a War Chest, and one goal: win back Abuja, district by district, all the way to the warlords’ fortress at Samiza.

⚔️ A campaign that never stops

Every territory is fought as the Battle for that district. Break five enemy defence lines, and your army moves straight on to the next district, with no loading screens between fights.

🪖 You are the soldier and the commander

Fight in third or first person, or rise to the Command View and send your squads where you want them: attack, flank, hold, follow or retreat.

🧠 Soldiers who fight like people

Troops move from cover to cover, lean out to shoot, cover each other's moves, dodge and roll under fire, get pinned down by heavy fire, and pull back when they are losing.

🛡️ Tanks and armour

Every battle starts with two tanks crewed by your soldiers. Jump into your own battle tank or armoured truck, or buy more armour in the field with War Funds.

How to play

Tap Play free, choose a name, and you are in your first battle within seconds. Here's everything you need to know.

🕹️ Move

Use the joystick on the left. Push it gently to walk, further to run, and all the way out to sprint.

🎯 Aim

Drag anywhere on the screen to turn and aim. Slow drags aim precisely; quick swipes turn fast. Tap an enemy and your gun swings straight onto him.

🔥 Shoot

Hold the fire button, or leave AUTO fire on and your gun fires whenever the crosshair turns red over an enemy. Short bursts and aiming down the sights keep shots tight.

🔎 Aim down sights

The target button zooms in for long shots. Snipers get a full scope. Aimed shots can be headshots for double damage.

🗺️ Command your army

Open Command to see the battle from above. Tap soldiers to mark them, then tap where they should fight, or give a whole-army order.

🛒 Reinforcements

Every kill and every broken enemy line earns War Funds. Use the shop to call in riflemen, grenadiers, medics, snipers, trucks and tanks.

Updates

October 2026

  • Every battle is fought in its own place: checkpoints across the Kubwa expressway, crossroads between Garki office blocks, compounds of a Gwagwalada village, thick bush at Asokoro where you only see the enemy up close, and market barricades in Wuse.
  • Soldiers hold their rifles like real infantry: stock in the shoulder, both hands on the gun, side-on when aiming and at the low ready on the move. They crouch-walk, step sideways and backwards while aiming, and fall when killed. Tap CROUCH (or press C) to crouch yourself: you are harder to hit.
  • A tighter campaign: seven territories, each with a battlefield of its own. Take Kubwa, Wuse, Garki, Gwagwalada and Asokoro, then break the warlords at Samiza in the final battle. See the battles.
  • Every battle has its own weather and hour: clear afternoon, overcast, golden dusk, misty dawn, burning fields or rain.
  • Real smoke and fire: columns of smoke on the horizon, burning grass lines, smoking wrecks and dust from shell bursts. Your army now has a base with sheds, fences and floodlights.
  • Soldiers crouch behind cover, move cover to cover, and speed up, slow down and turn like people.
  • Capture the enemy commander: wound him and he surrenders. March him to your safe zone, then hold off the squad sent to free him.
  • Hostage rescue: civilians are held behind every enemy line. Reach them and free them for a bounty.
  • A real front line: both armies fight from cover at long range, and the stronger side pushes forward. Go down five times and the enemy takes back ground.
  • Up to 30 soldiers and 2 tanks per battle; buy replacements in the field when you lose them. Sound starts off until you tap the sound button. Lighter on your phone's battery.
  • New look from the first screen: war intro, sign-up, menus, icon and link preview. Every trace of the old city game is gone.
  • Plays properly on foldables, tablets and small phones, with a compact control layout.
  • Sharper picture: battles now render at close to your phone's full resolution, with crisper ground and less haze.
  • Smoother aiming: drag anywhere to aim while your soldier holds his position; gentler aim assist that never fights your drag.
  • New detailed weapons in first person: railed rifles, optics, curved magazines and proper barrels.
  • Drag to aim anywhere: your soldier holds the gun where the crosshair is and strafes while moving.
  • Tap an enemy to swing your gun onto him; new Aim Speed setting.
  • Real gunshot sounds and battlefield ambience; sound button on the far left of the battle screen.
  • Recoil, bullet spread and sniper sway; red kill marker; daily orders.
  • The Battle for each Abuja district, with five different kinds of ground and long enemy trench lines.
  • Buddy cover, suppression, dodge rolls and burning vehicle wrecks.
  • Four crewed tanks in every battle; your own battle tank with a 120mm gun.
  • Commander orders: Flank (pincer) and Retreat; the battle only ends when you win or choose to pull back.
